PUNXSUTAWNEY – Rep. Cris Dush (R-Jefferson/Indiana) will host his Jefferson County Senior Expo on Friday, Oct. 5, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Punxsutawney First Church of God, 23 Skyview Drive.
Dozens of representatives from nonprofit agencies; local, state and federal governments; and local businesses will be on hand to provide information and answer questions about the wide variety of programs and services available to help local seniors improve their health and enjoy a better quality of life.
Flu shots will be provided by Punxsy Hometown Pharmacy. Seniors interested in receiving a flu shot should bring their health insurance card to the event.
ATA fixed route transportation for Senior Expo attendees is available. Individuals needing transportation and not on the fixed route, should contact the ATA directly at 1-866-743-3282. Both services are free so long as they are within the Punxsutawney area.
“My team and I are proud to bring you this Senior Expo offering a wealth of information for senior citizens and their families,” said Dush. “This event promises something for everyone – free admission, door prizes and refreshments, too. Join us for a day of fun, food and fellowship!”
